I’m trying to find the words to say here, but they’re just not coming to me. I’m too shocked and appalled. As if flat-chested women don’t face enough pressure by being constantly reminded through the media that only big boobs are sexy, it has now become illegal for a woman with small breasts to show them off. The Australian government is perpetuating horrible stereotypes not only by saying that small breasts are childlike and not womanly, but also by promoting the idea that women should be fake. In a sense, they’re saying that women are only truly women if they have large breasts. Any woman interested in adult entertainment--a benchmark for measuring sexiness, whether it’s right or not--will have to get fake boobs if she wants to pursue her career. In doing so, the standard set for women’s breast size will increase even more, and women with smaller breasts will be considered less and less attractive because of it.
To me, this is even more reason why I should go into nude modeling. As it is, I’ve been trying to get lingerie gigs, emphasizing my need to “represent,” but I might have to take it to the next step if this is what the world is coming to. As society is picking up on that idiotic catchphrase “real women have curves,” the barely curvy girls of the world are getting left behind and feeling unattractive.
It’s time for me to take a stand of my own and raise some small breast awareness. I’m thinking of starting a Small Breast Project with some other models around Chicago. Maybe a topless photo shoot of a group of women with AAA- to small B-cup breasts (personally I think small B’s are perfect, for the record) showing off our lovely little titties. Then one day, more men’s magazines might start having classy photos like this one from Playboy France.

I thought so too! Apparently we were misled. I think part of the problem is the backlash against skinny models these days. I agree that all body shapes should be represented, but people are so anti-skinny that I think they're almost starting to perceive small boobs as fake, as if no "real woman" could have boobs like that. It's so insulting.

ReplyDeleteAs for the statement "real women have curves," that's probably just fat chicks yapping in between bites of food. To be fair though, you skinny bitches have controlled things for too long.
Seriously though, despite being the proud owner of C-cups, I sympathize with your plight.
i don't know if it was me... i certaintly don't remember her name but i just looked her up on google images and i've seen most of those photographs before so there's a good chance it was me. i remember sending you one picture and saying something like look! small boobs are fashionable again or.. they're going to be in again...
ReplyDeletethe problem is that people think that masculinity and femininity are rooted in LOOKS. i don't have enough confidence in the majority of people to believe that will ever change.
this is far too harsh of a "all body types shall be represented deal" though...
I think a photo shoot for women with small breasts is definitely in order! Let me know the time and the place and I'm there sister!
